I could eat tacos all day ever day. Having lived in the bay area for a couple years, it's hard to find good mexican food on the east coast that lives up. Good thing tacos are easy to make!
The credit for the pork goes to Sam, as this has turned into a specialty of his (as well as the beans pictured above). You will need a slow cooker for this.
Slow Cooked Pulled Pork
- 5 lbs. of pork
- 2 cans of root beer
- BBQ sauce (we use Annie's BBQ)
- A few cloves of garlic
Place the pork in a slow cooker. Pour the 2 cans of root beer over the pork and throw in a few cloves of garlic. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
Once the pork is tender, remove from slow cooker, shred, and mix with the BBQ sauce.
As for the taco ingredients, it's up to you! My must have ingredients are always corn tortillas, cheddar cheese, beans, guac, sour cream, tomatos, cilantro, and tapatio hot sauce.
